West Bloomfield WR Taj Mustapha recruiting heats up with Kentucky & Wisconsin offers within minutes

West Bloomfield 2018 WR Taj Mustapha picked up his 18th and 19th offers on Friday while visiting the University of Wisconsin alongside 3 others from Michigan, 2 who were committed to the UW Badgers.  Mustapha was offered by Wisconsin and within minutes was offered by Kentucky.  Kentucky like Wisconsin plans to host a pretty nice haul of recruits on Saturday, but Mustapha is enrolled for a Satellite Camp at Grand Valley State in Allendale, MI Saturday and wasn't pressured to attend, but the visit to Kentucky is expected to occur on a future date.

Mustapha is arguably the #1 senior wide receiver prospect in the state of Michigan and beyond.  The 6'2" 188 pounder has a very balanced skill-set, he has the size and tools to be a possession receiver and be lethal in short and intermediate routes, but also the blazing speed to be a vertical threat and possesses superb ball skills.

Mustapha joined the Lakers program after Lathrup HS closed in 2015 and has made an impact immediately for the program, described West Bloomfield head coach, Ron Bellamy.  "Taj is a high character kid who has an unbelievable work ethic."

Bellamy added, "Taj is the ultimate competitor. He is a very coachable player who wants to get better and absorb as much information as possible."  Bellamy was a WR at Michigan from 1999-2002 and was in the NFL until 2008

Mustapha should draw heavy interest from the Power 5 schools at GVSU which will include; Iowa, Penn State, West Virginia, and Illinois.  On Sunday he will visit Michigan State for the 5th time, it will be the first time on campus that he holds an offer from the Spartans however.
