King DL Maurice White commits to Toledo as he approached double-digit offers

Things were starting to pick-up for the Detroit King Crusaders 6'5" 250 lbs DL Maurice White who received his first offer from Toledo not even 2 months ago and committed to the Rockets on Thursday afternoon.  White now holds 8 offers and figured to obtain more interest during camp season, but White decided to commit where he wanted as camp season was beginning to warm up.

White committed in a short but sweet commit video posted and narrated by a member of King's staff that asked who would be the lucky school to land his services.  White replied with, "Toledo."

King has the ideal size and frame for DE spot now, but the possibility of gaining more weight and moving in the interior defensive line cannot be overlooked as well.  Either way, Toledo will be adding a nice bulk of fuel to their defense.

The last time that Toledo was able to land a player on scholarship out of high school from King was Bernard Faithful in 2004.  White is also the first commit from Michigan to Toledo in the Class of 2018.

Update:  Later in the day, Cass Tech LB Dyontae Johnson committed to Toledo, story.
