Walled Lake Western WR Justin Thomas picks up first Division 1 offer

Indiana State a Division 1-FCS program ended a drought for one of the state's best receivers on Thursday afternoon.  After a good junior season and an unstoppable off-season, Walled Lake Western 2018 WR/S Justin Thomas received his first Division 1-FCS offer from Indiana State University.

The 6'1" 182 pounder out of Walled Lake Western earned offers from, Siena Heights and Findlay in the past 2 months, but during evaluation period - Indiana State became the first Division 1 school.  ISU should be the first of several for the receiver who has shown signs of what will be a huge senior season upcoming.

We in the past have compared, Justin Thomas to former Brother Rice / Michigan WR Grant Perry as they're similar sized, speed, and route running technicians.  Thomas will grab anything within his long range and cuts up field with ease once he does.

Indiana State's receiver coach is former Michigan Wolverines, Roy Roundtree.  Who Thomas was glad to be offered by, "I'm relieved that a Division 1 program finally has given me the opportunity to play football for them. An added bonus that it came from Coach Roundtree."

Thomas was also grateful for his head coach, Mike Zdebski, "I'd like to thank Coach Z for pushing me to be the very best I can be."

Thomas has definitely worked hard this off-season and is starting to see his hard work pay off.
