The D Zone 2016 All-Michigan Football Player Rankings: #41-50

The following rankings are determined by The D Zone and are organized by who we feel were the best players.  These are not recruiting rankings, but highly recruited players are typically highly ranked, but there's always exceptions to that rule.

41.  Saint Mary's 2017 DB/WR Richard Bowens
-  Big play WR/CB for OLSM who constantly came up with plays when his team needed them the most.  Bowens is committed to Iowa State.

42. Rockford 2018 OL Cody Carone
-  Versatile in where he can line up on the line of scrimmage and a mauler at the point of attack.

43. Berrien Springs 2017 DT/OG Phillip Paea
-  A fierce competitor who can dictate the outcome of any given play.  Paea is committed to Michigan.

44. Zeeland East 2017 DE John Berghorst
-  A long-time anchor of Zeeland East's defense and back-to-back All-Michigan. Berghorst is committed to Central Michigan.

45. Saint Mary's 2017 DT Ralph Holley
-  Holley clogs up the middle allowing his elite LB's to make tackles, but also a good tackler himself.  Holley is committed to Western Michigan.

46. West Catholic 2017 WR Sam Neville
-  A well balanced receiver in routes and has a game changing ability.  Neville is committed to Ferris State.

47. Lapeer 2017 OT Ed Brecht
-  After shutting down Irving-Bey early in the season, no task was too big for Brecht as a Senior.  Brecht is committed to Kent State.

48. Milan 2018 OT/DT Mike Furtney
- Furtney was the top returning tackler as a Sophomore and carried over his physical play as a Junior.

49. Eisenhower 2017 NG Noah Lumetta
-  Won't find a more overlooked player anywhere, Lumetta did all that was asked of him and some.  Just watch Ike and Cass Tech game, you'll see #62 in mostly every play.

50. Oak Park 2018 CB Robert Daniel
-  Skilled defensive back who uses his length and strength to his advantage.
