The D Zone 2016 All-Michigan Football Player Rankings: #11-20

The following rankings are determined by The D Zone and are organized by who we feel were the best players.  These are not recruiting rankings, but highly recruited players are typically highly ranked, but there's always exceptions to that rule.

Jacorey Sullivan

11. Muskegon 2017 WR/S Jacorey Sullivan
-  Big play receiver / defensive back who is the jack of all traits.  Sullivan is committed to Central Michigan.

12. Southfield 2017 LB/RB Lorenzo McCaskill
-  Ferocious linebacker, who during the stretch of the season became a key runningback as injuries hit the team.  McCaskill recently decommitted from Cincinnati.

13. Muskegon 2017 LB Drew Ward
-  MLB for the Division 3 runner-ups, Ward imposes his physical attributes and speed to be a tackling machine.  Ward is committed to Nebraska.

14.  Cass Tech 2018 CB Kalon Gervin
-  On a team with 15 Division 1 FBS offered players, Gervin was one of the teams best defensivebacks.  Very few offenses bothered throwing his way and when they did, the passes were knocked down.

15. Davison 2018 RB Tariq Reid
-  As Davison emerged as a playoff contender in D1, the state seen what the junior runningback was capable of as he had over 2,060 yards of offense and 37 touchdowns.

16.  Hudsonville 2017 QB/FS Jack Mandryk
-  After an injury-shortened junior season, Mandryk returned full force as Hudsonville's last line of defense at Safety and led the offense at QB.  Mandryk will walk-on at Michigan State.

17.  Cass Tech 2018 LB DeAndre Square
-  On a star-studded defense, Square was a big standout who possesses incredible versatility to be plugged mostly anywhere on any given defensive package.

18.  River Rouge 2018 S Reggie Pearson
-  The Panthers have broken through on the state stage the past 2 years.  Pearson uses his strength to his advantage in closing on the ball with an impact.  Pearson is committed to Wisconsin.

19.  Romeo 2017 S/RB Kade Messner
-  Messner was the emotional leader of Romeo who looked to repeat as the D1 champions.  A bone crushing safety on defense and hard-nosed runner in Romeo's offense.

20.  Cass Tech 2017 DB Jaylen Kelly-Powell
-  Jaylen Kelly-Powell versatility was apparent as JKP can move all over to play defense.  Kelly-Powell also moved over to offense to provide an extra piece of a potent offense.  Kelly-Powell is committed to Michigan.
