3 Michigan Teams in Rivals Preseason Top 100 has slowly been releasing their 2012 Top 100 teams in the Country the past few weeks.  After anxiously waiting for all the Michigan teams to be ranked, it's time to share their opinion.

This is one of the first times in rankings history that a Michigan team is ranked above a High School from the state of Ohio.

The countdown featured 10 teams a day at 2 different different periods.  In the first ranking, 96-100,  the De La Salle Pilots were selected as #98 in the country.  As Rivals mentions in every sentence, the Pilots big player is quarterback Shane Morris.  The Pilots will be bringing in a whole new group of receivers who have transferred in but lost most of their offensive line to graduation.

It wasn't long after DLS was ranked that Catholic League - Central opponent, Brother Rice was also ranked in the top 100.  The Warriors clocked in at #74 and #2 in Michigan.  This one is probably hit square on the head, as Brother Rice is likely everyone's #2 team in the whole entire state for the 2012 season.  The Warriors lost their top player from last season in Devin Church but Junior RB, Brian Walker will be expected to fill his shoe's as well as a passing attack led by Senior QB, Cheyne Lacanaria.  Brother Rice won the Division 2 last season, after big wins against Harrison and King during the state finals.

At #43 in the country is Cass Tech.  The Technicians won the Division 1 state in 2011 with a dominating win against Catholic Central.  Cass Tech lost quite a bit of Seniors from Class of 2012 but the Technicians had underclassmen step up last season and pushed Seniors to the bench or 2nd string.  As another national media member told me last week, "Cass Tech is the easiest selection at #1 in the state, that I ever chose from past rankings."  The Technicians must be prepared to defend their title, as they have huge games against; Brother Rice, Orchard Lake Saint Mary, and the PSL Championship.

So I know you are asking yourself, what do I think of these rankings.  The answer will be revealed in the upcoming weeks if this is my top 3 or what not.  Before the season I will be releasing my Preseason 30/30 rankings, just like last season.
