May Weekly 4 Update 2011

First off I like to thank everyone who has viewed or share these recent updates.  This is the fourth and final update for the month of May.  This was the first month that I have done this and I have noticed these updates are viewed by thousands of people so far.  Which means people obvious are spreading it with others, so again I am greatly thankful.  In the coming months if there's anything you want to add/share just comment anywhere on the blog or contact me.  From the start the main goal of the site is to promote the sports, so just keep up the support and minute by minute, the state of Michigan will get more exposure.

  • First off: I was told by an Oxford booster family that the blue turf project has began.  The previous grass has been ripped out and "it's just a big sandbox right now."  The blue field turf is expected to be in place for Oxford's home opener against crosstown rival, Lake Orion in week 1.
  • Sticking on Oxford:  Today 6'7 and 240 pound offensive tackle, Collin Goetz became the second verbal commitment to the Central Michigan Chippewas for the class of 2012.
  • The Michigan Wolverines recruiting frenzy remained on track in the past week as our #1 player in the top 100 players in the state of Michigan, Terry Richardson has committed to Michigan over: Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame and USC.  Click here to view an article written by
  • The first commitment for the Central Michigan Chippewas in 2012 was Brother Rice's, Dylan Anderson.  On Thursday night of May 19th, Anderson pledged to the Chippewa's after receiving a scholarship offer within the week.  Click here to view an interview with Anderson, done with Michigan Preps.
  • Back in the first week of February we learned that Port Huron quarterback, Justin Black was moving to Florida by himself so he could pursue a chance of receiving more exposure.  Since then Black has done well in the camps and has been hearing from Northwestern but already lists an offer from Western Michigan.
  • Out of the nine finalists I listed last week for US Army All American Bowl.  Only one so far has been announced to be playing in the game.  The #2 player in our top 100, Royce Jenkins-Stone a Michigan Wolverine commit has been selected to play in the national televised game.  Teammate and #1 player in the top 100, Terry Richardson was already announced to play in the ESPN Under Armor game.
  • This week in the Columbus Elite camp, Michigan players made a splash.  2013 De La Salle Quarterback, Shane Morris was named MVP.  While Royce Jenkins-Stone and James Ross (Orchard Lake Saint Mary's) both Michigan commits, made a an impact writes ESPN.  Click here to view a compilation of quotes from Michigan players from this weekend.
  • Thanks to our sites hosts crashing two weeks ago, a few things were deleted that I edited and many posts were deleted.  I have went to work at compiling the remaining players for the class of 2012 who did not crack the initial 100 and watch list for class of 2013.  The 2014 list will be completed soon.  I noticed many people tried viewing the lists while they were deleted.  But if you were unable to view them in the past two weeks, they are back online.
