On Friday August 26th at 5 P.M. at Rynearson Stadium, The Day Prep Showdown will put Hartland up against Ann Arbor Skyline. In 2010 Ann Arbor Skyline began their first football team, they finished 0-9 but return one of the states best wide receivers, Jordan Woods and best quarterbacks, Andrew Copp. For Hartland it will be another team from Kensington Lakes Conference.
In week 1 of 2010, the Hartland Eagles defeated the Ann Arbor Skyline Eagles 64-26. The Southeastern-Red conference is a tough division that featured Temperance Bedford, Ann Arbor Pioneer, Saline and Monroe. Hartland finished 2010 with a 6-4 record, Hartland defeated their biggest test in 2010, Howell but lost to Milford and Grand Blanc.
With Skyline returning their leading rusher and passer, Andrew Copp and top WR in the state, Jordan Woods. They return second leading rusher: Khalil Madoula-Bey who was a sophomore in 2010. Skyline also returns receivers: Marquis Wesley, Kelvontae McKinney, Jack Clark, Theron Wilson and Nelson Hansen.
The Hartland Eagles will have to replace, quarterback: Dan Richmond, runningback: Chad Hunt, receivers: Ryan Conway, Josh Domke, Josh Miller, Shane Felix and Aaron Matthyssen.
Hartland returns its leading tackler Trey Conner, the returning receiver with the most action is sophomore: Anthony Villar who had 7 catches for 101 yards and 1 touchdown in 2010.
Hartland scored 277 points in 2010 an average of 27 points per game while allowing 245 points an average of 24 points allowed per game.
Ann Arbor Skyline scored 198 points in their first season, an average of 22 points per game. The Eagles allowed 454 points in 2010 an average of 50 points allowed per game. Four of the nine games, their opponents exceeded the average.
