    4. I have 2-3 of them on the top 100.

Who should I put on here from Lake Orion?

    5. take a look at Andrew Shefkalis DE transfer from rochester, the kids gonna have a monster season in my opinion

      ReplyDelete
    6. He's a senior right? For some reason I thought he was going to be a Jr in 2012.

      ReplyDelete
    7. Who does this list? You have Ryan jones on here because of a showing at a combine? That kid is a combine player. Once he touch the field he will fold like a lawn chair!!! I was hoping that this site would be more open and have an eye for talent! Disappointing!

    8. I can't wait to see how Donte Fox does this season. You continue to over look this kid and many parents in the Canton area can't understand why. Explain if you have seen him play D Zone?

      ReplyDelete
    9. This list is for players WHO DID NOT make the initial top 100. I have him as the #13 player state out of like 45,000+ players.

That certainly is NOT overlooking him. #13 in the state is HIGH praise. The link for the top 100 is on the top tab here, if you have not seen it.

      ReplyDelete
    10. For Jones his junior highlights are pretty impresive. This only a watch list too.

I do not go to Combines so idk how they do, Its hard doing research on thousands of kids in the state. I wish my name was Urban Meyer and could scout kids lol.

Perry, Vultagglio, Bujaider and Vendetti are obvious MAC Red preseason players. Their really good, Ill edit them in.

    16. dawgg jeff watch out for ray shepler on ike he is crazy good he hasnt got much recognition but he is one of the smartest football players with football iq in the state and he is a big hiiter & a ball hawk. He will be the leader of the ike defense and plus he was a starter last year too

and bt man im not an ike fa n just a guy that knows his football

      I LOVE FOOTBALL

      ReplyDelete
    17. Okay thank you, I'll keep a wider eye on Shepler now that you mention that. Ike is loaded in 2012 thats certain, Week 1 vs Ford is going to be insane.

Best defense vs best offense in the MAC.

Ike D is solid and Fords O is solid, I cannot wait.

    18. I'm glad you said something about Jones highlight video, this should be a very good year to watch him run the ball at Canton.

      ReplyDelete
    19. I have been at some of does combines and ( Jones ) ability and speed with the ball was something to watch.

      ReplyDelete
    20. Some people need to start looking at the top 100 list before they start blowing up, Ryan Jones should have been on that list, parents and individual don't grade player's at these camps and combine the coaches do and if they talk about Ryan Jones it must be a reason. So what is the problem Donte Fox is on the list at # 13.

      ReplyDelete
    21. Why would an individual put down another football player anyway they are all player's. Stop just .............STOP

      ReplyDelete
    22. High School and the Pro have camps and combines to grade player's to see where they stand.

    26. It's all about the level of competition that your school play. Do you think by playing a scrub team, that they can judge a person ability.

    27. Ken Allen from Fenton was offered by Oregon State yesterday.

    28. There are alot of good prospects that don't have the luxury of having a solid team around them. One player can't win games!

    39. Saylor Lavallii has offers from Kent State, Central Michigan and Ohio.

      ReplyDelete
    40. You may not know this but Anderson and Warner of Brother Rice are both D1 players. I believe Anderson already committed to CMU or WMU. Warner has several offers as well. These guys are not top 100 they will be Top 30 at a minimum. Kidd from Rice is not even top 10 @ Rice and you have him #1 players @ Rice.

      ReplyDelete
    41. Anderson committed to CMU about 2-3 weeks after I made this list. When I update it he will be moved up.

Isn't Warner going to college for Lacrosse?

And Kidd is at least top 5 at Rice.

Name 10+ better players, if you have that conclusion.

      ReplyDelete
    42. Warner will be playing football in college. He is attending several camps this summer, look for more offers to come his way.

Kidd is a very good player but he is undersized for a D1 CB played last year behind Ellwenger and Hendrix, both are returning, and look for Church to get reps at CB as well. At saftey Ferguson will return and look for Deshun Brown to replace Jaddou. He may have a hard time getting reps in that backfield.

Reschke will replace Hamilton in the middle, Bouchard returns at LB, as well. Warner will replace Hart at DE, Anderson will return to DT and another LAX hero, jr. Sergio Perkovic (6'4'' 200) will play the other DE.

On offense look for the Anderson brothers, Dylan you know, his brother jr. Griffin (6'6" 250) to shore up the line. TE Warner and Reschke will be tough. O backfield loaded as well, Church, Walker, Brown, Sirosky along with Echols and Marsac at FB. QB is a question mark, this is Rice's achilles heal. Nick Rao is more of a runner, jr Cheyne Lacanaria a passer but way undersized 5'6'' 140/150 lbs. I do not think he could hold up in the CHSL Central, but you never know. We will see who emerges. Roney and Ferguson will be their receivers. As you can see they have a lot of solid players. As for Kidd, he will be a D2 or D3 player at best. Great young man, he is on a very talented team. Rice does not have the big names that DCC FHH CT DLS or OLSM have, but they have a lot of solid players. They have a very tough schedule, and could struggle this year. It should be an interesting year @ Rice.

As for your 10: Both Anderson's, Church, Warner, Reschke, Brown, Ellwenger, Hendrix, Ferguson, Walker. The first 5 will all be D1 players (have offers) Brown and Walker more than likly D1. Ferguson is a baseball player, Ellwenger Hendrix Kidd D2 or D3. All this is IMHO, except the D1 commits and offers already in hand.

      ReplyDelete
    43. Okay but Ellwanger was getting D1 looks from Indiana and Northwestern I know for sure and would you honestly be surprised if Kidd went D1?

      ReplyDelete
    44. Eric Wilson from Thurston, just got offered from West Virginia, Bowling Green, & Toledo, super fast WR / DB. Also, Grant Wilson from Thurston was a beast last year, he'll end up somewhere as well, he averaged like 9 ypc as a junior last year.

An Anonymous posted this in the top 100. Talk about a real sleeper prospect.

      ReplyDelete
    45. D-Zone, I gave you 10, Ellewenger NW or Indiana, he might be 170 lbs and 5'8, in the Big Ten? Will I be surprised if Kidd goes D1? In a word yes. Out of the three Hendrix has the best shot at a D1 school. My point was you rated Kidd as the best player at Rice, and he is not.

Rice's best players this year are Dylan Anderson and Devin Church, along with Ellewenger and Warner, are 3 year starters. Church will get many more offers, and will end up probably Big East, maybe Big Ten. Anderson is on par with a lot of the big names, why he committed so early is a mystery to me. I have heard he is still getting offers not calls but offers. Also heard from a friend @ CMU that Enos and staff love him. Rice people say he is 100% CMU. Who knows maybe his parents are CMU alums. Remember you do not know him because he went to no camps or clinics has no website, just a very plain film. He was very 'under the radar'.

Point being Rice will depend on him and Church to really step up. The others are very good players but IMHO these two are the keys. Like I said earlier Rice has an extemely tough schedule.

      ReplyDelete
    46. That's what I read on Scout and Rivals earlier this year he was visiting those schools.

I am not if that's whats holding him back is his height/weight but its certain there was mutual interest from both sides.

This list was preliminary and I realized a few minor mistakes overtime but just curious why do you think Kidd cannot go D1?

      5'9 - 183lbs

      ReplyDelete
    47. Midland's Andrew Wylie offered by Eastern Michigan

      ReplyDelete
    48. Not trying to bust your ba!!z (well maybe a little), but I hope all the Rice kids go D1. I think Kidd, Ellwenger, Hendrix are undersized and do not have great speed. Chruch is 5'9'' and is bigger than CE or EK and much faster, and 183 seems generous to me.

Look at the HS All-Star game this weekend, the three CHSL players Keith, D'Agostino, and Jaddou, are all very good HS players. None are D1, all better than the players above. It isn't good enough to be a 'great' player. There is more to it than that and two of the biggest factors are size and speed. However, on the other hand I am surprised at the number of D1 offers that are being made this year. It seems an inordinate number of offers have been made to players from MI, so far. So I guess you never know It is an interesting conversation, that will continue through the season. There is a lot of time between now and Feb 1.

For your 2013 watchlist I would add:

      Deshun Brown (RB/LB 5'11 190/200)
      Sergio Perkovic (DE/LB 6'4'' 200)
      Griffin Anderson (OT 6'6'' 250/260)

I hear both Perkovic and Anderson are above 4.0 gpa's. Size and academics pretty good combo.

      ReplyDelete
    53. Went to a game at Oct 2010 at 5th 3rd Ball Park in Grand Rapids to watch Rockford and Muskegon. I wanted to see Knox, Keyes, and Braden play. Upon leaving was very impressed with the Weston kid. My understanding from espn that he needs size and weight had him listed at 6' 4 and 195. Called a Rockford contact and they said he is now 6 6 and 245 been working hard off season. Might want to revisit this kid

      ReplyDelete
    54. Yes, tight end last year assuming this year, they may also play him at D end from what I hear. won't know until game 1. Understand Western, Eastern & Bowling Green have interest, my contact is on vacation this week, how dare he.

      ReplyDelete
    55. Basing off what I know I am not surprised those 3 schools are showing interest with his measurable's.

I seen on scout.com he was somewhere on their top 200 list.

      ReplyDelete
