The Division 7 final features Ishpeming (12-0) vs Hudson (13-0). Before you ask why Ishpeming only has 12 wins, it is because on October 15th they had an open week. They breezed by pretty their whole regular season schedule besides the first week of the season when they defeated Division 6 semi finalist, Iron Mountain (11-2). It is Ishpeming 9th straight playoff and 12th overall appearance. It is the first time they have reached the state final and their 9th straight winning season.
Coming into the final, Ishpeming has scored 506 points, which averages to 42 points per game while allowing 117 which averages to 10 points per game.
For Hudson, it is familiar to them. They lost in the final to Traverse City Saint Francis last season. It is their 4th straight appearance, the first 2 were when they were part of Division 6. It is also their 12th appearance in the playoffs, in 2003 they also lost to Saint Francis in the final. It is Hudsons 4th straight winning season.
Hudson has scored 499 points this season which averages 38 points per game and allowing 106 which averages 8 points per game, do not forget Hudson played one more game thats why the averages are different.
With both offenses capable of scoring touchdowns and the defenses barely giving up more than 2 touchdowns, something tells me this is going be either a really high scoring game or a really low scoring game. Its rare to see two undefeated teams in the finals.
This will be the second time theses two teams played, in 1975 Ishpeming won in week 11, 38-22 in the Class C Final. The game time is 10 am on Saturday, the 27th.
